After working on television for over 20 years this past July I put in my resignation notice.
No it wasn't very dramatic at all, My husband and I had planned for my retirement date to be June of 2021. "Un poquito mas, un poquito mas, I kept telling my family until finally I looked at Gabriella and said : "¡Dios que grande estas!" I realized that she was growing so fast and I was missing it. And I did not want to miss one more second. I also did not want to be in a hurry mom or tired mom or mom that is not available because I have to get a zoom call.
or mom that picks up late and drops off early.
It was actually my birthday, and when I blew the candles, I wished for courage. The courage to do what is right for me at this time and dedicate my time to Gabriella and Sienna. #lassobrinasdetodos and most importantly MY KIDS, not my mother in law's , not the nanny's, not the teachers, but mine! I went to work the next day, and put in my notice.
In the title I said stay at home mom (kinda) because when the kids are at school I will be putting in two hours a day in another hobby that has allowed me to retire. I'll tell you about that later!
